Over 550 illicit foreigners from Bangladeshi have been kept in Ahmedabad and Surat on charges of remaining in India with fake archives, Gujarat Police said on Saturday.
Police authorities said that extradition procedures will be started after confirmation and interrogation.
The joint operation was driven by law requirement units counting Extraordinary Operations Gather (SOG) Wrongdoing Department, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), Avoidance of Wrongdoing Department (PCB) and neighborhood police. Authorities affirmed that all the confined people were in India without the fundamental records and were utilizing fake records to set up residence.
In Surat, a joint operation by SOG, DCB, AHTU, PCB and neighborhood police come about in the capture of over 100 Bangladeshi nationals. “They had entered India wrongfully and were living in Surat with fake documents,” said Rajdeep Singh Nakum, Appointee Commissioner of Police, Uncommon Operations Unit, including that they would be sent back domestic after investigation.
More than 450 individuals were kept in an operation conducted in Ahmedabad on Saturday by groups from the Wrongdoing Department, SOG, Financial Offenses Wing (EOW) Zone-6 and base camp on doubt of being unlawful migrants. Wrongdoing Department DCP Ajit Rajiyan affirmed the incident.
Commissioner of Police, Wrongdoing Department, Ahmedabad, Sharad Singh said that the activity was taken taking after the orders of the Domestic Serve and the Chief Common of Police.
Stating that the Domestic Serve, CP and DCP had coordinated to keep the unlawful workers, Rajiyan affirmed that the Wrongdoing Department has enlisted two FIRs since April 2024 and 127 unlawful Bangladeshis have been stole and 77 have been deported.
The most recent operation in Ahmedabad was supposedly carried out on the doubt of a critical number of undocumented migrants.
Police have so distant captured 457 individuals in the operation based on data that a huge number of Bangladeshis are living in the Chandola region and the expulsion prepare will be started after cross examination, the police said.
